Lace front wigs are known for helping wig wearers achieve a natural look. However, with all the beautiful, gorgeous, and lovely hard front wigs out there, making them look natural is a very important thing. It is undeniable that many people have given up on affordable hard front wigs for this reason.

That is why it is essential to adjust any hard front wigs to achieve a more natural look. Today, we’re going to walk you through a few simple steps that will make a big difference in the authenticity of your hair.

Shake Your Wigs

The first thing to do when you receive your wig is to take it out of the package and give it a shake. This will get rid of that flat effect from shipping in an instant.

Reduce shine

If you have a synthetic wig, the fibers will look a little shiny. To get a more natural look, you can try these tips.

#Use a hairdryer

Get your hairdryer and adjust the setting to the coolest option. Now blow dry your entire wig for a few minutes. This will separate the synthetic fibers, reduce shine and add texture.

#Wash your wig with dry shampoo

Use dry shampoo to get your wig wet. Shake off any excess and gently brush through the wig with a paddle brush. This will dramatically reduce shine, add volume, and give your new wig a lovely smell. Baby toner also works well.

Part Your Wigs

If your wig has a visible parting, it is important to customize it to your natural skin tone. This will greatly increase the natural look of your wig and make it nearly impossible to notice that your hair is not 100% real. Always separate your natural hair so that the wig’s parting line sits directly above your own parting line.

Using a good pair of tweezers, carefully pluck 1-2 hairs at a time from the wig’s parting line. Using this method, you can widen and lengthen the parting line slightly as needed. Take your time and don’t overdo it.

Using a small, angled makeup brush, fill in the parting line with your everyday concealer and set the product with your usual setting powder. The line will now match your skin color perfectly, creating a beautiful, natural look.

Baby Hair

Natural hair usually has a small amount of visible baby hair, while wigs don’t have any at all, so sometimes you may feel like your wig looks really weird on you.

If you prefer baby hair, then you can do this.

Separate the top layer of the wig and, using a good pair of scissors, cut 1-2 hairs at a time from the bottom layer of the visible edge of the wig to form very small baby hairs. Comb and separate these hair strands. If your natural hair is similar to your wig, you can pull your own baby hairs forward.

This is very dependent on personal choice, as some people like it and some don’t.

If you can’t get a good trim yourself, you can take your new wig to a salon and have a hairdresser customize a cut to fit your unique face shape.
