The Do’s and Don’ts of Having Lash Extensions
Before we get into the lash extensions world, let’s learn the do’s and don’ts of having lash extensions first.

Have you ever dreamed that you wake up with long, full, and curled lashes and skip layering mascara and applying eyeliner, so you’ll be able to have a great breakfast rather than rushing into the office? It is POSSIBLE! You can definitely wake up to thick and beautiful lashes with the help of lash extensions. Before we get into the lash extensions world, let’s learn the do’s and don’ts of having lash extensions first.

DO’S

Do get a patch test before the treatment – Some people are allergic to lash glue, so most salons require you to have a patch test before the lash extensions treatment.

Do think about the lash style – Before going to a lash studio, always ask yourself "Am I going to make my eyes pop for a party/special occasion" or "Am I going for a natural look"? This is important. Talk to your lash artist and tell her what exactly you want so that you can get a satisfying result.

Do wear something comfortable – Because you'll lie on a massage bed for over an hour.

Do close your eyes for the whole treatment – It usually takes over one hour to get your lashes done, so it can feel a bit exhausting and nervous to have your eyes closed during the whole process. However, in order to get a satisfying result, please do close your eyes for the whole treatment.

Do keep them in shape

After you get your lashes done and back home, remember to keep them in shape so the lashes can last longer and be more beautiful. Do gently brush out any kinks on your lashes and keep a beautiful fan shape with a lash brush every morning.

DON’TS

Don't wear mascara and eye makeup to appointment The application cannot be done with the mascara on your natural lashes, so do not wear mascara the day you get the treatment.

Don't get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours –Do not get your extensions wet for at least the first 24 hours. Avoid touching your extensions when washing your face, and maybe leave washing your hair that day. Also, avoid taking a steamy shower and doing any sports after your lash extensions application.

Don't rub your eyes – Ditch this habit because it can cause your extensions to fall out faster and damage both your natural lashes and your lashes extensions.

Don't use oil-based makeup and creams – The oil-based makeup and creams will gradually weaken the lash glue and cause your extensions to prematurely fall out. Avoid applying your moisturizing cream to your eye area and always use water-based makeup and creams instead.

Don't expect your extensions to last for weeks – You have to acknowledge this: your lash extensions will gradually fall out over time with your natural lashes. So don’t expect your extensions to last for several weeks. To maintain a perfect lash look, it is highly recommended to book an appointment to fill in any gaps and keep your lashes looking gorgeous and full every 2 to3 weeks.
