How to Apply Eyelash Extensions by Yourself at Home?
Although false eyelashes (and your favorite lengthening mascara) are great, extensions usually look more natural.

When it comes to sky-high eyelashes, extensions are often the way to go. They are thick and fluffy and can last for weeks or even months, depending on how you take care of them. Although false eyelashes (and your favorite lengthening mascara) are great, extensions usually look more natural. In addition, being able to roll off the bed effortlessly with thick and plump eyelashes is great.

1. Prep Your Eyelashes

First, you need to make sure your eyelashes are clean and dry. Wet a cotton pad with a mild cleanser, and then gently wipe along the lash line to remove any oil or residual mascara. Wait for them to dry completely. Then, you can apply "bond" or adhesive on the eyelashes, which will act as a "cushion between the eyelashes and eyelashes" (before proceeding to the next step, make sure to let the bond dry until it becomes tacky, otherwise, the eyelashes tend to slip off the wet adhesive immediately). If you have extra time for the preparation step, please do a 20-second eyelash curl at the beginning.

2. Apply The Eyelash Extensions

The application process will depend on the eyelash extension kit you choose, but usually, you will use a tweezers-like tool to apply the extensions under the actual eyelashes through a bond or glue-like adhesive. To be honest, this tool makes the application super simple. Just pick up the eyelashes from the roots and they will stick to the bond you applied earlier. This part may take a few tries, but once all the eyelashes are applied as you like, blend them together (you can use the tool to do this) and apply pressure to fix them.

3. Maintain Your Lashes

Now is the really important part: maintenance. To extend the life of new eyelashes, use a soft, reusable cloth to wash your face gently and carefully. Avoid immersing your face under the showerhead or splashing your face with water. When cleaning, choose an oil-free facial cleanser and makeup remover, “as oil-based will break down the lash glue.”

Have a scroll on hand, and occasionally brush your new eyelashes. “I like to brush my lashes in the morning, before going to bed, and throughout the day.” (This is especially useful if you have a tendency to fuss about eyelash extensions.)

You may not need it anyway, but avoid using waterproof mascara, because removing it will damage your eyelashes. Don't use eyelash curlers either, as it will cause extra pressure and may make them bend excessively.

Finally, try ing on your back and use pillowcases made of delicate fabrics such as silk or satin, as they will provide a little extra TLC.

Your DIY eyelashes should last from a few days to a week. When you are ready to remove them, follow a guide to ensure that the process is safe and effective.
